C + T / where to get your goodies / wearables

Hooray! It’s the fun part when we show you the list of places where you can buy things that are both cool and not evil. The designers are from all over the place, and they all ship! Since Cait and Tiff are very different people with different loves and styles, we have both put together a few of our personal favourites. Enjoy!

Jewelry.  When done well it can make a fab gift.  It says, “Hey – I dig your style.  Here’s my attempt at getting in on that.”  Unfortunately, it can be pretty easy for that to go completely pear shaped.  But there might be an easy way to avoid that.  I don’t think you can go wrong with simple minimalist look.  And there are so many amazing young designers making fabulous pieces that can align with anyone’s style.  They also make tiny fabulous gifts that pack a big punch and therefore shouldn’t be relegated to stocking stuffers.

I also want to take this opportunity to shamelessly plug the work of Aussie designer, Jane Heng (#6).  I met Jane back in 2009 when she was working in sustainable fashion in Cambodia and she even gave me a tour of the best makers in Phnom Penh.  She’s now got a beautiful line of tiny pretty things sourced from these here lands.  I’m an especially big fan of that temple ring.
