Week two of our little goodie guide, and we are taking a shot at all things food, and food-related. There are so many amazing things out there, this list barely scratches the surface. This is a small collection of things we truly love to give, and would love to be given. Hint hint.

While looking at potential goodies for this list, I thought about the food and smells that I love the most around the holidays. A lot of these items are actually deeply personal. Lowery’s chocolates, from Muncie, Indiana, were my grandparents’ favorites. They both passed away this year, and now these delicious little treats mean even more to me. This little list is made up of edibles that are not just only-trend, but also made well and damn delicious. I hope you love them as much as I do.

So you might notice that none of my goodies are very edible. Except for perhaps the coffee. And while I absolutely love to give and receive infused olive oils, artisanal syrups and the whole lot, I also like to help build kitchens with long lasting wares, tools and reads. And once again, shameless Canadian promotions go to some of our best woodworkers. Combining good quality lumber and sustainable practices to produce the kind of stuff you want to be passing down through generations, I’m loving what Jordan Tomnuk, Nikole Herriot and her dad, are doing to make your tossing, and your serving and your rolling so much more styled.
PS – points for whoever can identify the cutting boards.
