We are edging toward hot season again in Phnom Penh. I’m not thrilled about this, considering our “winter” was a whole three days in the mid 70’s a few weeks ago. The only thing I want to wear right now are flowy things that don’t actually touch my body. This desire is only highlighted by the fact that I accidentally purchased 66lbs of light jersey last week. (I still haven’t really learned the metric system.)
Looking at my usual list of blogs this morning, I saw these wide-leg trousers and feverishly tried to figure out how to get them to Cambodia. They look like the exact kind of thing I want to wear these days. Then I remembered that I can’t do that, but I can make anything I want for about 1/3 the price and custom made. And I can pick my own fabric and have the pants fit perfectly to my weird butt.
So now, I am pulling inspiration from lots of my favorite designers, in order to make the perfect wide leg, breezy summer pants. A few loves below.
